Garcia, Mary Teresa 73, passed away Feb 14th in Phoenix, AZ. She was born 12/12/35 in Adair County, Iowa. Preceded in death by her father, Harold "Leo" McGinnis and survived by mother, Mary "Alice" McGinnis, her loving husband of 50 yrs, Conrad Garcia Jr., children Elena (Thomas) Quigg, Theresa (John) Penczar, Laura (John) Linam, Patricia (Phillip) White, Conrad "Sam" Garcia III, grandchildren Isiah, Phoebe, Jacquie, Tiana, and Alison "Jun-Jun". "Teri" believed motherhood to be her greatest role. She challenged herself and encouraged her children to live life to its fullest, have the courage of their convictions, and to cherish friends and family. She returned to school at age 48, graduated as an RN and pursued a 10-yr career in nursing. She volunteered untold hours to 4-H, after-school programs and fund-raisers and enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing, Bingo, oil painting, stained glass, cooking, theater and the arts. She is beloved and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, 2/20/09 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial: 12:30 p.m. 2/20/09, National Memorial Cemetery of AZ.
