Wilson, Ruby M. Thompson
Ruby M. Thompson Wilson, 93, of Bleakwood and longtime resident of Kirbyville, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on February 19, 2009 at the home of her son in Bleakwood after an extended illness.
Services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Call Junction Baptist Church under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Monday, February 23 from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Born August 22, 1915 in the Bonami Community to Thomas "Mid" and Essie Mason Thompson, she was a descendant of a number of pioneers of The Republic of Texas. She was retired from Buna Nursing Home and was a member of Call Junction Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Wilson was preceeded in death by her husband Conrad Stewart Wilson in 1982, one brother,Curtis Thompson. and a great-great grandson, William David Lincoln.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Hutchison and husband Jimmy of Kirbyville; sons, Raymond Wilson and wife Carolyn of Warren, Don Wilson and wife Patricia of Carthage and Ben Wilson and wife Betty of Bleakwood; sister, Verdie Wilson of Kirbyville; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nurses, aides and chaplain of Lakes Area Hospice and Advantage Home Health for the loving care they provided. Words cannot express the blessing you have been to us during this time.
