"Clyde Coffin died Sat. at the Washington County Hospital. Burial in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. Born Mar. 2 1883, son of Jeremiah and Martha Bray Coffin. He lived his entire life in the Pleasant Plain community; member Friends Church. Feb 27 1917 married Alta Shafer of Brighton; she died in 1964. He is survived by a foster son, Alfred McCracken; two sisters, Mrs. Sumner McCracken, Richland, and Mrs. Duane McCracken, Mankato, Minn. Preceded in death by wife, an infant son, three brothers and three sisters. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton."
