Joan Winifred Porcarelli passed away after a short illness on February 15, 2009, at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach. She was born in New York City on July 28, 1934, and lived most of her life in Sidney, New York. She was married to and is survived by her husband, Francesco Porcarelli, M.D.; two sons: Guido Porcarelli and his wife, Patricia, and their two children, Francesco and Sofia of Baltimore, Maryland; Robert Porcarelli and his wife, Megan, and their two children, Luca and Mariella, of Seattle, Washington; and her three sisters, Loretta O'Brien, Patricia McHugh, and Francis Murray, all of Florida. A Roman Catholic Mass will be celebrated in her honor 2:30 p.m Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with Father John S. Murray, officiating. Friends and family may call from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Settle-Wilder New Smyrna Beach Chapel. Condolences can be made online at www.settlewilderfuneralhome.com
