JACOB Z. GINGERICH Wellesley - Jacob Z. Gingerich, 87, died yesterday at the home of his son Allen, RR 1, St. Agatha. He was a member of the St. Agatha Amish Mennonite Church. He was born May 31, 1869 in Wilmot Township, a son of the late Rudolph Gingerich and Mary Zehr. He was married twice. His first wife, Leah Bast, died in 1906. Two years later he married Magdalina Erb, who died in 1942. Surviving are two sons, Allen, and Rudolph of Little Lakes, Mich.; three step-sons, Rudolph Yantzi of Waterloo, Joel Yantzi of RR 2, Baden and Irvin Yantzi of RR 1, St. Agatha; three brothers, Benjamin of New Hamburg, Abraham and John of RR 2, Baden; two sisters, Mrs. John Roth of Baden and Mrs. Christian Steinman of RR 2, Baden; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at Allen Gingerich's home where a short service will be conducted Sunday, at 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at the St. Agatha Church at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Peter Nafziger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
