Freeman, 69, a World War I veteran and retired Tucson, Arizona city fireman who died Wednesday in a hospital will be at 2 p.m. today in Hubbary Mortuary. he lived at 526 Glover St. Chula Vista. Born in Athens, Tex. Freeman served in the war as an Army corporal. He retired in 1947 as a fireman at Tucson after 29 years in the department.
Freeman was a member of Chula Vista Post, American Legion, which will participate in the services and at interment at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Mary:a son, Robert E. of Chula Vista; two brothers; four sisters; his mother and a granddaughter.
The mother mentioned in this obituary is his step mother, as his biological mother died in 1898.
