OBITUARY - Muriel Duchaine.
Muriel Duchaine, 90, of Holstein died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Holstein Good Samaritan Center. Services were Thursday at St, Joseph Catholic Church, Salix, with interment in the church cemetery. Muriel Grotewold was born April 17, 1912 in Gettysburg, S.D., the daughter of William Grotewold and Marie Tobiason. She grew up and attended school near Larchwood. On May 20, 1935 she married Lawrence "Frenchy" Duchaine in Jackson, Minn. They lived in Sloan. Her husband died in January 1995. Survivors include two sons, Louis of Hunlock, Creek, PA and Mark of Mapleton; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Judith) Bradley of Arnolds park and Susan McMullen of Plains, PA; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Lawrence Jr. and one great-grandson Brock Bradley.
