Nancy Adaline Ussery wrote Aunt Ad on letters. Records show her born in Tennessee, or Alabama or Kentucky. I believe it was Tennessee because her parents' census showed place of birth Tennessee and her son's census record showed her born in Tennessee Her death certificate says she was born in Kentucky. That form was signed by Alex Tarwater. I find he lived in the same city but don't find any relation, so he was a neighbor or funeral home staff. Ad was born to William and Mary Bryan or Bryant (both spellings are used by her siblings). Ad was married to Peter Preston Ussery 23 Mar 1870 in Johnson Co., IL. They had two children Leona and Washington Parker Ussery born in Johnson Co. IL. By the mid 1890s they were in Texas living in Collin County. By 1900 Ad is living with the children in Collin Co. By 1902, Pete had married a much younger woman. Ad lived for several years in Parker Co. TX but was living with her son Parker in Smithfield when she passed away.
