Corrine Fruhwirth

Corrine Fruhwirth, 65, Bismarck, passed away on February 17, 2009, at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Bismarck with her nephew, Pastor Allen Wagner, officiating. Burial will be at Linton City Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 – 9:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 – 9:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Corrine was born on February 15, 1944, in Linton, ND, to George C. and Katherina (Forderer) Wagner. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Linton. Corrine attended South Prairie Country School west of Linton and graduated from Linton High School. She married Larry Fruhwirth on March 21, 1964, at Peace Lutheran Church. Corrine worked at Sweetheart Bakery Thrift Store for six years and most recently at the Baptist Home for 28 years as a purchasing agent.

Corrine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren meant everything to her. She was so proud of them. Corrine loved doing personalized gifts for her family including blankets, shirts, and necklaces. She was an awesome cook; her cheese buttons and cheesy potatoes were the best. Mom always made all of our birthday cakes, personalizing them to our favorite hobbies, movies, or sports. Corrine had a heart of gold and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, Larry of Bismarck; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Jim Werner; her son, Mark Fruhwirth; her four grandchildren, Tyler and Kali Werner, and Nicholas and Kaine Fruhwirth; her sister, Pauline (Jake) Tschritter of Linton; her brothers, Reuben Wagner of Bismarck, Elmer (Marge) Wagner of Lincoln, and Ray (Mary) Wagner of Rapid City, SD; her sister-in-law, Arlene Wagner of Linton; and numerous nieces and nephews that were also like her own kids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Harold; her sister-in-law, Frances; and her grand-nephew, Rocky.

The family wishes to thank St. Alexius Hospice for their care during Corrine's last days. The family prefers memorials to the Baptist Home in Bismarck.
