Funeral services were held in the North ward church, Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
Opening song "Sometime We"ll Understand".
Ozro Gardner offered the opening prayer.
Singing "O My Father".
Bishop Osborne Low Sr., was the first speaker, who spoke of his boyhood acquaintance with Mr Izatt, and of his excellent character.
"Let Ua All Speak Kind words to Each Other" was rendered by Mrs Gean Harrison.
The next speaker was Philip Bott of Ogden, whom Mr Izatt has done much business with in recent years, having beren an agent for the company of John H. Bott and Sons, for many years. Mr Bott delivered an excellent talk which brought much comfort to the bereaved widow and family.
Singing "Shall We Meet Beyond the River".
The benediction was offered by Bishop Heman Hyde.
After the services the body was taken to Thayne for burial, where it was laid beside two of Mr Izatt's sons who have preceded him to the grave.
The grave was dedicated by Joe Wilson.
William B Izatt was born in Logan, Utah March 10, 1870, and had just recently passed his 58th birthday. He came to Star Valley more than thirty years ago and settled in Turnerville, where he met Miss Rhoda Turner, who later became his wife. to this union were born nine children, seven of whom are still living. they are: Mary Garvey, Ira D., Leslie, Marcella Pokriots, Wilford L, Grace D. Walker, and Meletia P. Izatt.
His only brother is Alex Izatt who lives in Turnerville.
Mr Izatt settled in Turnerville and after a few years came to Afton and worked several years building the Stake Tabernacle. He worked as a stone cutter. He then went back to Turnerville and from there to Bedford. About sixteen years ago he moved to Afton and has made his home here since that time.
He has served the people as an officer a bumber of years, serving as constable at Bedford, Deputy Sheriff and Town Marshal at Afton. He drove mail to the lower valley for four years. At all time he has been noted for his honesty and integrity, and has made many friends, who are grieved at his passing. He has been a member of the L.D.S. church all his life, and always taken part in his church duties.
Near relatives who attended the funeral are:
Maggie and Oz Shelton, Lizzie Andrews, Albert and Mae Hughi, all of Logan; Annie and Joe Wilson of Lund, Idaho; Georgiana Clark of Brigham City; Eli D. Pokriots of Dixon, Wyoming; Alex and Rebecca Izatt of Turnerville, besides his wife and children.
