Mr. John Cecil Adams, age 72, of Dahlonega, Ga., died Tuesday, November 6, at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Fannin County, son of the late Jessie Vincent Adams and Viola Elizabeth Walker Adams. He was a member of the Old Jerusalem Baptist Church, DAV Chapter #29 in Dahlonega, and a member of Mineral Bluff Lodge #483 F & AM. Mr. Adams was retired from the United States Army.

He was survived by his wife Leticia (Cortez) Adams of the home; one Son and daughter-in-law, Larkin and Elena Adams of Fort Polk, La., two Brothers, Doug Adams of Blue Ridge, Ga., and Ben Adams of Suches, Ga., and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and military honors were conducted Saturday, November 10, at 2:00 PM from the Toccoa Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Roy Clore and Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins officiating.
