Marion "Pete" Perkins, 91, Aledo, formerly of Matherville, died Feb. 17, 2009, at Aledo Rehab & Health Care Center.

Graveside services with military rites are 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Those attending the service should meet in the i wireless parking lot at 2:15 p.m. Arrangements are by Dennison, Viola.

He was born July 6, 1917. He married Edna Smith Dec. 23, 1970. She died June 3, 1989.

Survivors include his granddaughter, Laura (Dan) Portugue, Viola; great-granddaughters, Sarah and Amy Portugue; a great-great-grandson; stepdaughter, Nancy (Edwin) Mills, and family, New Boston.

Parents: Cadar and Ora Ellen Conn Perkins.
First wife Faye Hood. Married 1946, they later divorced.
