Donald V. Dieffenbach, 94, of Myerstown passed away at the Lebanon VA Medical Center on Friday, February 6, 2009. He was the husband of the late Mary Brown Dieffenbach. Born in Host on October 27, 1914, he was the son of the late Victor C. and Minnie Mae Miller Dieffenbach. He retired from the Middletown military base, where he had worked as a mechanic. He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Rehrersburg. He was World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He is survived by his brother, Luke Dieffenbach of Otsego, Mich.; and a nephew, the Rev. Earl L. Brown Jr., and his wife, Mildred of Myerstown. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert, Paul, Harry, Donald, Frank, Ray, Curtis and Leon; and sisters Elsie, Grace, Della, Sadie and Eva. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 Campmeeting Road, Jonestown. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 2/10/2009
