ROBERT J. CRANE DIES TUESDAY
Former Columbus Man Succumbs Suddenly At Tuscaloosa
Robert J. Crane, 54, former resident of Columbus and father of Mrs. Carter Woolfolk of this city, died suddenly at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Mrs. Crane, who was formerly connected with the Georgia Grocery Co., and later the Piggly Wiggly store here, moved to Tuscaloosa about ten years ago, where he was engaged in the grocery business.
In addition to Mrs. Woolfolk, he is survived by another daughter Mrs. Henry Birk, of Marianna, Fla.; two sons, Jack and James Crane of Tuscaloosa; a sister, Mrs. J. R. Hendley, of Tuscaloosa; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the D. A. Striffler chapel. Rev. Albert S. Trulock, pastor of St. Luke Methodist church, will conduct the services and interment will be in Linwood cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: W. G. Morton, Dave Dudley, Elliott Waddell, Archie Smith, Herman Hicks and George Phillips. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
