Richard Eugene Blagg, 68, of Slidell, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Denton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 24, 1940 in Denton County, Texas to Eugene and Evie (Brown) Blagg. He attended Denton Public Schools, and was retired from LTV Aerospace Inc. He was married to Wanda Brandenburg in Denton, on February 18, 1983. He is a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, February 16, 2009, in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Sons Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Chris Walden, officiating. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 4 – 6 p.m.
Mr. Blagg is survived by his wife, Wanda Blagg of Slidell; sons, Richard Eugene Blagg, Jr., of England, and Phillip Cagle of Gainesville; daughters, Tammy Lidster of Denton, Diane Johnson of Paris, Sue Fortenberry of Slidell, and Rebecca Vazquez of Pine Tree, TX; a sister, Peggy Gann of Sanger; brother, Danny Mack Blagg of Denton; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
