Jamie Leanne Burns, was born on February 17, 1992 to her Parents; James and Lori Burns.

She a very outgoing friendly 16 year old girl. Jamie, attended high school at Creek Wood High School where she was a Sophomore. She had previously been a Cheerleader at William James Middle School.

On Friday July 4, 2008 Jamie along with one of her very close friends Shelby Aulidge, was killed in an automobile accident by a drunk driver on Highway 48 in Dickson Tennessee just before 9:30pm. The drunk driver veered into their lane, striking their vehicle head-on at more than 30 miles per hour over the speed limit. The impact caused both vehicles to roll several times before coming to a complete stop. Jamie, was taken to a Hospital where she passed away at the age of 16, 20 minutes later, and Shelby passed away at the scene instantly.

Jamie's Funeral Service was held on July 9, 2008 at the Taylor Funeral at 2PM. Burial followed at the Williams Cemetery in Dickson County.

On March 2, 2009 the drunk driver received 14 years to serve in The Tennessee State Prison.
