"Ronnie" born to M. H. "Mike" Garrison and Dorothy Louise (Tinsley) Garrison was a lifelong resident of Orange.

He graduated from Stark High School in 1972 where he played varsity football since the 10th grade. He then earned a scholarship to play football for Texas A & M University in College Station.

He had previously worked as a process operator for the Echo Plant in Orange and then worked as a nurse for both Christus - St. Mary Hospital and The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, both in Port Arthur.

He was extremely passionate about music, he played the guitar since the age of 14 and enjoyed many types of music.

Although he had many loves in his life, the most important was his love for his family. He enjoying cooking on the grill and inviting his family and friends to come over and eat with him. Ron also possessed many areas of creativity, he enjoyed reading and going out on the water.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Thomas and Willie Ann Tinsley and his paternal grandparents, Hugh and Agnes Garrison, those who will most cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Susan French Garrison; his children, daughters, Andrea Pietz and her husband Shane and Lindsey Ferree and her husband Jared; son, Joshua Garrison and his wife Heidi; his parents, Mike and Dorothy Garrison; his brothers, Mike Garrison and his wife Betty and Gary Garrison; his in-laws, G. L. and Carolyn French; his pride and joy, his three grandchildren, Shaleigh Pietz, Trevor Ferree and Kennedy Ferree.

He was also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
