LIFE LONG AMHERST RESIDENT DIES

WILLIAM FILKER, QUARRYMAN, DIES SUDDENLY WEDNESDAY MORNING

William Filker, life-long resident of Amherst, died suddenly at his home on Hamilton street at 7:30 Wednesday morning. Death was due to heart failure.
The deceased was 45 years of age at the tie of his death. He was born at the Filker home on Hamilton street June 17, 1877. He had been a quarry worker all his life, working in the local quarries for several years and recently at the quarries at Glenmount, Ohio.
He is surviving by his mother, Mrs. Adam Filker; two sisters; Mrs. Ira Lynch of Seely avenue and Miss Meade of Hamilton street; two brothers; John of Meadville Pa., and Frank of Lorain.
Funeral services, will be conducted from the late home Saturday afternoon at 3:30, the Rev. M. Neumeister officiating. Burial will be made in Cleveland avenue cemetery.
