Mother of Mrs. J. R. Orr is Buried at Macedonia.
Mrs. Mary J. Hart, age 89 years, died at her home in Lanett on Monday morning of this week about seven o'clock following a short illness.
The deceased was born and reared in Troup County, Ga., but had lived for many years in Chambers County. She moved to Lanett several years ago from near LaFayette to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. J. H. Talbot. She was one of the oldest members of the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church. She had been in good health up until her recent illness.
Funeral service was held from the Macedonia Church on Tuesday at three o'clock with Elder (L.M.) Parrish and Rev. Heath officiating. Johnson and Blakely were in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are four brothers, J. M., Orren and J. E. Bond, of Nacona, Texas; R. L. Bond, Elk City, Okla., and one sister, Mrs. G. I. Jackson, LaFayette; one son, K. L. Hart, Inverness, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. J. R. Orr, LaFayette, and Mrs. J. H. Talbot, Lanett; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dura Howell, Lanett; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
