Edna Earl Peavy, 93, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, in Tallahassee, Florida. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST Friday, December 19, at Bevis Funeral Home Chapel (850-385-2193, www.bevisfh.com ), with burial at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 Edna was a native of Holmes County, Florida, and moved to Tallahassee in the 1930s. She, along with her husband Tom, owned and operated Tom Peavy Heating and Plumbing in Tallahassee for many years, and she was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Tallahassee. She is survived by her two sisters, Inez Whitton (and husband Hulon) of Tallahassee and Juanita Godwin of Tallahassee and many other loving nieces and nephews and family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Peavy; two brothers, Millard Hobbs and Johnny Ray Hobbs; and a sister, Mary Grice.
