Edward H. Wright, 82, of 35 Eastview Lane, Clifton Park Manor, died Sunday at Riverside Hospital after a short illness.

Wright, a native Delawarean, retired in 1953 as a deputy sheriff for the city of Philadelphia. He belonged to the Potter Lodge 441, AF&AM; and the Lulu Temple, both in Philadelphia.

He also was an Army veteran of World War I and belonged to the Gold Acorn of the 87th Division. He was a member of W. W. Atterbury Post 3420, VFW, in Wilmington, and the National Legions of Honor.

His wife, Mrs. Lillian V. Wright, died in 1968.

Mr. Wright is survived by three stepsons, Clarence H. Watson of Wilmington, Charles H. and Carl E. Watson, both of Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday morning at 11 at Calvary Episcopal Church, Lore and Woodside Aves., Hillcrest. Friends may call Thursday night at the McCrery Funeral Home, 2700 Washington St. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
