Ruth married William Ernest Nielson (Bill) in 1928, and together they raised 5 children who, in turn gave them 39 grandchildren, 101 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
Six brothers and four sisters, her husband and three granddaughters preceded Ruth in death. She is survived by one sister, Ardella Gubler Duncan Heiner; five children, Quinta Nielson Beatty (Dell, Deceased) of Toquerville, LuDeen Nielson Lundin (Fred) of Pine Valley, Utah, Janice Nielson Hansen (Garth) of Springville, Utah, Corrin Gubler Nielson (Janice) of Layton, Utah and Eric Gubler Nielson (Marsha) of LaVerkin, Utah.
Ruth was born, raised and lived most of her life in LaVerkin, Utah. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she firmly lived the principles she professed and filled many positions in the Church auxiliaries. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to her faith, her family and her friends. She loved beautiful things of nature and was a creative, talented homemaker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the LaVerkin Stake Center. A viewing will be held Friday, February 20, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N. Main St., Hurricane, UT, and on Saturday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services, at the Stake Center. Interment will take place at the LaVerkin City Cemetery immediately following services.
