Wilma L. Bordenkircher, 86, of Mount Sterling, died at 9:35 pm Wednesday (Oct. 25, 1995) in her home.
A Schuyler County native, Mrs Bordenkircher was born Jan. 22, 1909, a daughter of Frank and Sarah Rittenhouse Illman. She married Emmett J. Bordenkircher April 4, 1929, in Springfield; he preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1957.
Mrs Bordenkircher was a graduate of Rushville High School, class of 1928 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Mount Sterling and the Holy Family Women's Guild.
She was a charter member of the Brown County AARP and served on the Brown County Heart Association for more than 30 years. Mrs. Bordenkircher had worked at O'Neil Drug Store and was librarian at Mount Sterling Public Library for 13 years.
Survivors include four sons:
John Bordenkircher of Englewood, Colo
Eugene Bordenkircher of Lady Lake, Fla
Richard Bordenkircher of Rolling Meadows
Donald Bordenkircher of Houston
Two daughters:
Mrs. Gary (Charlotte) McPeek,of Springfield
Mrs. Patrick (Marcia) Cummings of Springfield
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her many friends
Mrs. Bordenkircher was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Churchill, a brother, Charles Illman, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 am Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas Henseler.
Burial will be in Mount Sterling Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Sunday and from 8 am Monday until time of services in the Hufnagel Funeral Home in Mount Sterling.
There will be a prayer service at 7 pm in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund
