Parents: "August" Quirollo and Maria/Mary Foppiano Quirollo who died in childbirth with her daughter Mary/Maria (#3112290) in 1877-1878 in Missouri according to family member. Maria's sister Kate Foppiano Prato #31122979 brought her orphaned nieces (from St. Louis, Missouri) Rosa, Kate, and Mamie to eastern Oregon. h-Emil Straube, son: Fred William Straube. Rosa died in childbirth when her son Fred was born. Sister of Katie Straube in this cemetery. Katie married Rosa's widower, Emil Straube, after Rosa's death. Katie died several weeks after childbirth.

6/15/2011: "After a flurry of emails between cousins and in-laws re. Augustino Quirollo - Katy (Quirollo) Straube's descendants tell the same tale of orphaned sisters brought from Missouri to be raised by John Foppiano (brother of Katy/Katie's mother Maria/Mary Foppiano Quirollo and buried in this cemetery) that is told by our branch of the family. The concensus is that the Portland family is not related to "our" Quirollo and Foppiano branch, but what a coincidence that two men with that name (Agostino Quirolo/Queirolo #51357434) born within a couple of years of each other in Italy would have offspring living in Oregon by the early 1900's? Did you see the death information that I sent to you through Ancestry last night?"

"Three of the Quirollo sisters died after childbirth. Baby Theresa Quirollo lived only abt. 1864-1865 and young William died in Missouri. The second daughter named Teresa Quirollo married Duncan McRae and lived to a nice old age of 82 having given birth to at least three children." (Annette)
