ADAMSVILLE - Carlos Glenn McDaniel, 95, of Nashville, formerly of Adamsville, teacher, artist and former mayor of Adamsville, died Monday at Summit Hospital in Nashville. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Shackelford Funeral Home Adamsville Chapel with burial in Adamsville Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer has charge.

He was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church, Savannah Art Guild, scout master for Boy Scout Troop 234 and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 338. Mr. McDaniel, the husband of Jewel Shands McDaniel, leaves a daughter, Glenda Dillingham of Mt. Juliet; a son, Mike McDaniel of Nashville, three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Savannah Art Guild or Gideons International.
