THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, January 13, 1963, p. 4:

Benjamin F. Archer, 73, a farmer living at 737 Cedar St., died Saturday at 6 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, after two or three years failing health. The funeral, Sunday at 2 p.m., will be held at Fry and Gibbs chapel, by the Rev. W. H. Fisher of Ramseur Baptist Church, where Mr. Archer was a member, and interment made in Rockford Cemetery in southeast Lamar County. Relatives are at the home of his only son, H. R. Archer, 913 E. Polk St.

He was born in Lamar County, Dec. 21, 1889, son of Tom and Annie Archer, and he married Miss Willie Henry, Christmas Day 1911, at Rockford. He had attended old Liberty School near there, and the couple lived in that area until moving to Paris in 1937.

Besides his wife, his son and three grandchildren, survivors are a brother, Eulen Archer, Fort Worth, and these sisters; Mrs. Edgar Ball and Mrs. John Murrell, Lubbock; Mrs. Truman Ball, Throckmorton, and Mrs. Harry Gordon, Paris, Rt. 3.
