Barry Lee ''Pete'' Daniel Sr., 65, of the 1600 block of Tallwood Court, died Nov. 1, 2000.
Born in Portsmouth, he retired as a sheetmetal worker for Norshipco. Mr. Daniel was a member of Sheetmetal Workers Union No. 100 and Elizabeth Masonic Lodge No. 34, AF & AM. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Bunting Daniel; two daughters, Karen Paris Haddox of Norfolk and Kimberly Gilbert of Chesterfield, Va.; three sons, R. Warren Paris and Dan O'Neal Daniel, both of Norfolk, and Barry L. Daniel Jr. of Camden, N.C.; three sisters, Lois DeVane of Norfolk, Constance Crawford of Portsmouth and Linda McDaniel of Winter Springs, Fla.; five brothers, Aubrey Daniel, Joseph Daniel and Lynn Daniel, all of Portsmouth, Kenneth Daniel of Richmond and Paul Daniel of Chesapeake; and five grandchildren, Gerald Paris, Justin Gilbert, Ashley Gilbert, Jonathan Haddox and Brandan Haddox.
A graveside service by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America. Masonic rites will be accorded at the grave. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge.
