James V. Parkhurst, 50, of Central Square, died Thursday. Jim was employed by J. Alberici & Sons as a mechanic and heavy equipment truck driver. He was a past member of the Volney and Caughdenoy fire departments. Jim was a beloved father and son. Survivors include his wife, Dawn; two daughters, Jammie Parkhurst Hawks and Jessica Parkhurst; his parents, Charlotte and Charles C. Parkhurst; one sister, Crystal L. Parkhurst; four brothers, Charles A., Gary A., Brian C. and Richard S. Parkhurst; two grandsons, Donithan and Tyler Hawks. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico. Spring burial will be in North Volney Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
