Born in Hazelwood, Haywood County, NC, son of the late Art and Emma Shultz Parris, member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church in Pacolet. Surviving: sons, JC, Harold Billy and John Earl of Salisbury, NC, Lloyd of Jamestown, NY, Olin Dean, Larry Wayne, and Ronald Dennis of Pacolet; daughters, Mrs, Dorothy Thornton of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Delores Moore of Pacolet, Mrs. Miriam Carol Millwood of Jonesville; brother, John D Parris of Pacolet; stepbrothers, Jack Shultz of Pacolet, Frank Shultz of Forest City. Services: Saturday at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel by the Revs. James Hinson and John Gobble; burial in First Baptist Pacolet Cemetery.
