Obituary: The Dresden Enterprise, 5 Jan 1983 - Services for Mrs. Vera B. Mansfield, 86, of Palmersville were at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 1983, at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden with Brother Bob Conley and Brother Glenn Orr officiating. Burial was in Mack's Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Mansfield, wife of Erwin F. Mansfield, died Thursday afternoon at Volunteer General Hospital in Martin after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Erwin F. Mansfield; two sons, Mitchell B. Mansfield of Palmersville and Porter A. Mansfield of Goodlettsville; one daughter, Mrs. Peggy M. Woodruff of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Zela Townsend of Paducah, Kentucky, and Ms. Opal Petterson of Mayfield Kentucky, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
