M. Lawrence DeMarr, 71, formerly of Central Square, died at Canandaigua Veterans Administration Hospital. A native of Lake Placid, Mr. DeMarr resided most of his life in the Central Square-Palermo area. His wife, the former Natalie Taylor, died in 1986. Mr. DeMarr was a member of Central Square Lodge 622, F&AM. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. DeMarr was a member of Fuller-Taylor Post, American Legion. Surviving are seven daughters, Donna King of Bainbridge, Lina Knight of Watertown, Sandra Hurlbut, Debora Backus and Kathy Mosier, all of Mexico, Karen Richmond of Henderson and Kim Petrie of Palermo; a brother, Terry of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Kay Coleman and Toby Hudson, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. Spring burial will be in Hastings Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 Saturday at the funeral home, 110 N. Main St. Contributions may be made to Unity Acres, Orwell.
