He married Ann Rebecca Waller Vereen and they lived in a plantation in the Bear Bluff area of Conway, South Carolina their graves are in front of a house that still has pieces of wood from the original house. That house has been rebuilt from some of the wood from the old house and it is occupied still today by a Vereen descendant.
