Margaret Faye Duck Colbert, 57, of Cabot went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 3, 2008. She was born February 2, 1951 in Patterson, Arkansas to the late Floyd McDonald and Patricia Armstrong Walker. Margaret was retired from the Cabot Public Schools and was a member of Grace Chapel. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Izettie Mae Walker and two sisters, Ivie Mae Cookie Kuntz and Matilda Tillie Holden.
Margaret is survived by her husband Demilee Colbert who on July 23 would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, four children; Roy McDonald Colbert (Kathy), Cecilia Rena Martinez and Michelle Lee Horton, all of Cabot and Bill Holden of Austin. Also surviving her are her siblings Minnie Conrad (Skip) of Beebe, Buddy Floyd Walker (Karen) of Jacksonville, Vernon Strickland, Jr. (Martha) of Lonoke and Bonnie Holden (Randy) of Cabot as well as the entire Strickland family. Three grandchildren also survive her; Jessica Noel Colbert, Angel Rena Horton and Shelley Montoya and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 at Grace Chapel with Brother Willie Gold officiating with burial following in Short Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Moores Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
