Heart Attack Proves Fatal to Modestan
Finis Blakeley Roberts, age 61, a resident of Modesto for 10 years, died Saturday afternoon in his home. Death was caused by a heart attack.
He was a native of Nolanville, TX. Roberts had been employed by Rosenberg Brothers Co. for 10 yrs.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning in the Shannon Chapel, with Rev. W.R. Baird officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
In addition to his widow Cora Lea Roberts, who resides at 716 Sixteenth St., he leaves the following children: Mrs. Lester W. Mullenneix, Jack Roberts, Joe Roberts, Mrs. Louise Colbert, Buck Roberts, Glenn Roberts, Jere Roberts, all of Modesto. Mrs. Roy Roberts of Indianapolis, Ind., Bill Roberts of Fairfield, E.D. Roberts of Port Angelus, Wash; three brothers and two sisters in TX and 10 grandchildren.
Moved to California in 1936 from Springdale, AR.
