Troy J. Lowery, 81, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mr. Lowery was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Sallisaw, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in the 1940s. He married Loveta Evans on July 3, 1949, in Happy. He was a self-employed cement contractor for more than 50 years and a cattle rancher.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, five sisters and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Loveta; four daughters, Patricia Clark and husband Glen of Denver, Cathy Janow and husband Randal, Beverly Kirsch and husband Von, and Debra Moore and husband Kevin, all of Amarillo; a son, Weldon Freeman and wife Cora of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
