Mrs. Clewis, 96, of Winnfield died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday in Naomi Heights Nursing Home, Alexandria.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and the proprietor of Cora Sowers Dress Shop.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Warner of Columbia and Dorothy Gibson of Montgomery; one son, William J. Sowers of Austin, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Roy Sanders of Readhimer; four brothers, Shelby Dark of Start, Woodrow Dark of Jonesboro, Ross Dark of Columbia and Lynwood Dark of Dodson; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
