Death's Harvest.
Grace, the wife of Mr. Louis Madsen and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Killpack died on Monday, Dec 30th, 1901.
About two weeks ago Mrs. Madsen gave birth to a child and was feeling very well and strong for three or four days. Then a very heavy fever set in and she gradually became worse and died on date stated above.
The funeral services were held in the Tabernacle on Thursday at 2 p.m. A large concourse of friends and sympathizers came to pay their last respects. The casket was one of the most beautiful seen in this city and the floral tributes were grand and showed the respect of the contributors.
The speakers were President Maiben, Pres. McAllister, counselor Hans Westenskow, and Bp. Reid. Each gave words of respect to the deceased and comfort to the bereaved husband and parents.
The remains were followed to cemetery by a long line of carriages
We sincerely sympathize with the bereaved husband and parents and trust for their comfort that the child may be spared and be a joy and a blessing to them, which will partly alleviate the pang that death has brought.
THE CHILD, Grace Elsie, lived a long life and in 1984 joined her angel mother in Manti's beautiful cemetery.
She is the mother of Grace Lucille and Grace Elsie Madsen.
