"Effie May Quick, 81, a native of Louisiana and resident of Gulf Shores, Al. died Oct. 23, 1996, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Al. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Gulf Shores and was also a member of the Performing Arts Association in Foley. Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn (Cara) May Bizjak of Foley, Wynona (Nonie) May Bueche of Plano, Tx., Carla May of Dallas, Tx. and Cynthia (Cindy) May Lewis of Houston, Tx.; one brother, James Hinson Robertson of Baton Rouge, La.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Precededed in death by her parents, Ira Benjamin Robertson and Alice Triche Robertson; two sisters, Alma Robertson and Erma Robertson Walsh; husband, Carl A. May; and second husband, Henry A. Quick. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Oct. 26 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with Father Lee O'Neil officiating. Burial was in Pine Rest Cemetery in Foley, Al."
