Wife of Warren E. Johnson
Carole Joyce Holly Mason Johnson, 68, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 19, 1940, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cordelia Smith Holly.
She was a 1958 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.
She was a member of Ebenezer AME Church in Hagerstown.
She was a past member of Order of the Eastern Star, Sharon Temple 160, Blue Ridge Council and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Warren E. Johnson; two daughters, Misty L. House of Raleigh, N.C., and Ursula A. Mason of Hagerstown; three sons, Paul E. Holly and Dwight L. Holly, both of Hagerstown, and Timothy F. Mason of Frederick, Md.; one sister, Barbara Holly of Baltimore; one brother, Wayne Holly of Cumberland; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Aileen West; and three brothers, William Holly, Kenneth Holly and Gerald Holly.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Christ Reformed Church in Hagerstown. The Rev. Leroy Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St. in Hagerstown.
