With deep sorrow we record the death of Col. J.T. Connell of Mayhew, Miss., which sad event occurred at Atlanta, Ga., a few days since. Col. Connell was chairman of our State Alliance Executive Committee, and a member of the People's party State committee. He was a kind neighbor, an indulgent husband and father, a good citizen and a wholesouled reformer, and his untimely death has caused a vacancy in the home, in the community, and in the State which cannot be filled.
