Lamar, Mo., March 13. – Charles Leonard DeLissa, 64 years old, life-long resident of Barton county and former probate judge and clerk of the county selective service board during World War II, died at 12:50 o'clock this afternoon at his home, following a long illness.
Born April 30, 1888, at Liberal, Mr. DeLissa was the son of early day settlers in Barton county. He was a former partner of J. P. Moore in the operation of a newspaper at Liberal and was county supervisor for the WPA for several years during the 1930s. He had lived in Lamar for the last 20 years.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Gertrude DeLissa, and two daughters, Miss Nadine Delissa and Miss Mabel DeLissa, both of the home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Konantz funeral chapel. The Rev. Clarence Folkins will officiate and burial will be in Lake Cemetery.
