Prominent Columbus Woman Dies In Nashville After Illness Of Few Days. Funeral Here Tomorrow
Mrs. Mary A. Bradford died at six o'clock last night at the home of her son, Mark A. Bradford in Nashville, Tenn., after an illness of only two or three days. She suffered a heart attack last week.
Frank P. Bradford, of Columbus, was called to Nashville because of the illness of his mother, but her condition was so improved that he was able to return here yesterday morning. Last night he was notified of her death.
Mrs. Bradford had lived in Columbus practically all her life. She had been visiting her son in Nashville several months. She was formerly Miss Mary A. Pruitt, daughter of J. A. Pruitt and Frances Moaling Pruitt and was born May 2, 1851 in Midway, Ala. She was married to the late Mark A. Bradford, April 3, 1873. Mrs. Bradford had many friends who will hear of her death with sincere regret. She was a member of the First Baptist church.
Surviving Mrs. Bradford are two sons, Mark A. Bradford and Frank P. Bradford and three grandchildren, Mark A. Bradford, Jr., and Audrey E. Bradford, son and daughter of Mark A. Bradford and Eugenia Rodd Bradford, daughter of Frank P. Bradford.
Funeral services will be conducted upon the arrival of the body on the Central of Georgia train at 10:55 o'clock Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Linwood cemetery.
