My GGGrandfather..
Born in Hanover.. to U.S.A. abt. 1832-33, To OH. by 1837,
To Webster Co. IA in 1865 was the first settler in Newark Twp.. The Teters School House was the 1st school house in Newark Twp., 1872.. The 1st Methodist church service was held in his log cabin in 1873. All but 1 ac. was transferred to Dau. Sarah & Emery Houck.
All the land was still in the family in 2010...Dau.'s, Amy & Ida are buried on the property. I now believe Frederich's son Geo. has his son (Garth) buried there also. As Fred's Grt.Grt. Gr. dau. " Genevivne ", told me 3 grave were there before renters plowed.
