Died 12:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, 1987, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 67, and a native of Haynesville. He was a retired United Methodist minister with the Louisiana Annual Conference, having served 42 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Arcadia, Tuesday evening. Religious services at Arcadia First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by Dr. Douglas L. McQuire and the Rev. Robert L. Peyton. Interment in Mt. Mariah Cemetery, near Arcadia.

Survived by wife, Marie G. Bond; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Beverly) Powell, Baton Rouge; two sons, Robert G. Bond, Athens, and Jerry L. Bond, Arcadia; three sisters, Mary Corbell and Sandra Winn, both of Shreveport, and Martha Craig, Haynesville; two brothers, Robert S. Bond, Haynesville, and William F. Bond II, Spring, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
