ARCADIA - Services for Idell Doris James Cummings will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Rose-Neath, Arcadia. Burial will be in a Mt. Mariah cemetery north of Arcadia under direction of Rose-Neath.

Cummings, 88, of Arcadia died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, in Lincoln General Hospital, Ruston.

She was born in Athens and had resided in Arcadia since 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Cummings and parents, Charles W. James and Sarah Etta Methvin.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Charles E. Cummings of Asheville, N.C., and Dr. Kenneth I. Cummings of Arcadia; one daughter, Mona Cummings Gates of Alexandria; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Jim Gates, Jimmy Rogers, Hennen Cummings, Dr. Jim Cummings, Kurt Cummings and Evan Gates.

Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
