Alyssa was stillborn at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was the daughter of Ivan and Jessica Abel. Survivors include her parents, her grandparents, Ted and Shanda Abel, Gary and Joan Hoard, Roseanne and Darol Carter, and Sherry Townsley, her great-grandparents, Alberta Abel, Woodrow Hoard, Rose Taylor, Mary Journey, and Jane Martell. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred W. Abel, Geraldine Hoard, Frank and Rose Ella Palfi, and Jerry Beard. Funeral services were held at Rising Sun Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill. Burial was in Rising Sun Cemetery.
