Cora Patricia Griffith, 42, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at her home in Aberdeen, Wash. She was a former resident of the Edinburgh area.

She was born Dec. 23, 1959, in Indianapolis. Her parents are Charles Walter and Yvonne Sue Griffith of Edinburgh. Other survivors include three children, Amber Nicole Griffith, Everett Allen Bunting and Ashley Corrine Bunting, all of Aberdeen, Wash.; a brother, Chip Griffith of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Cathie Mae Jones of Puyallup, Wash., and Carol Hope Griffith of LaGrange, Ky.; and her former husband, Eric Bunting of Aberdeen, Wash.

She graduated from Columbus North High School in 1978. She graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in business in 1983 and from Eastern Washington University with a teaching degree in 1992.

She was employed by Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, Wash. She was previously employed by Ocasta High School in Westport, Wash., and Wishkah High School. During her teaching career she advised the Future Business Leaders of America, DECA and yearbook. She was also a counselor and revamped the Aberdeen High School store.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Old Union United Church of Christ, 12703 N. County Road 50W in Edinburgh. A private inurnment will follow the memorial service. Local arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cora Griffith's children's college trust fund in care of Blue River Federal Savings Bank, 100 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh, IN 46214.
