Composer. Member of the known as "Group of the Eight," musicians of the Generation of 1927, forced into exile during the Spanish Civil War, that include Salvador Bacarisse, Julián Bautista, Ernesto Halffter, Rodolfo Halffter, Juan José Mantecón, Rosa García Ascot and Fernando Remacha. He worked with Federico García Lorca with songs for his playwrights and for Luis Buñuel in his exile in Mexico, with the soundtrack for films such as "Viridiana" and "Los Olvidados." He was married with the actress Ana María Custodio and he was the son of prestigious scientist Gustavo Pittaluga Fatorini. His works also include "La Romería de los Cornudos" and "El Loro."
