1933~2009

Richard Bruce "Slim" Whittington, 76, passed away February 6, 2009 in Nephi UT. He was born January 5, 1933 in Claremont, Minnesota to Lyn Elmer and Alma Josephine Whittington. He married Linda Lunt on March 24, 1956 in Nephi UT.

Richard served in the Korean War. He also served in the National Guard for 43 years. He was a long time member of the Nephi Fire Department and Juab County Search and Rescue. He loved traveling and spending winters in Yuma, AZ.

He is survived by his wife Linda, and children Cheryl Lynn, Bruce Kent (Marta), Mark Alan (Debbie) and his faithful Scottish Terrier, Duncan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North Nephi and family and friends may gather one hour prior the services on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 a.m
