Funeral services for Minnie D. (Mumsey) Sutphin, 91, will be held Thursday, March 31 at 2:00 PM at the Myrtle Point Chapel of Coos Mortuaries with Pastor Joe Bush of the Myrtle Point Baptist Church officiating.
Private vault entombment will follow at the mausoleum at Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sutphin was born June 11, 1885 in Floyd County, Virginia and died March 28 in Myrtle Point.
She and Manuel D. Sutphin were united in marriage August 1, 1904 in Beckley, West Virginia. She was a member of the Myrtle Point Baptist Church and was a resident of Myrtle Point the past 45 years.
Survivors include her widower, Manuel of Myrtle Point, sons Casey of Roseburg, Stan of Canyonville, Mack of Myrtle Point, Deb of North Bend, Don of Klamath Falls: daughters Wanda Porter of Myrtle Point, Selma Clutter of Keezletown, Virginia, Alma Forrest of Idleyld Park,Oregon, Dorothy Stangland of North Bend, Glenna Murphy of San Carlos, California; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A son, Led, and a daughter, Gladys Gillespie, preceded her in death.
